Sadie is the UK based project manager, and responsible for the day to day running of the project, focusing primarily on ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the team. In addition she take’s care of the expeditions administration, correspondence, mediating with sponsors, updating the website with daily podcasts from Patagonia, liaising between the team and the media, passing on any messages from friends and family to the team, as well as being the first port of call if the team have a logistical or emergency situation. All of this is carried out in addition to running her own business. Sadie has been an integral part of the support team for nearly all of Tarka’s and Katie-Jane’s previous expeditions.

Sarah is the team psychologist who will be looking after the mental well-being of the team. Sarah is a Chartered Psychologist specialising in sport psychology and leadership behaviours. Sarah will provide psychological support and carry out psychological evaluations pre, during and post the expedition. Sarah brings to the team an in-depth understanding of how we think and behave in challenging environments. Sarah is passionate about adventure sports and travel, having competed in paragliding at World Class level including three World Records and taken part in several expeditions.

Hannah, company director and producer at Pangaea TV, will be working alongside Tarka and Katie-Jane (Primal Journey) in the production of the film Rivers of Ice. Pangaea is an award winning television and film production company based in the South West, with a portfolio of clients from leading Advertising Agencies to Warner Brothers. Pangaea and Primal Journey have worked together on previous productions, The Great Walk of China nominated for Media Innovation award 2009, as well as their most recent documentary film The African Way. Together, they also have several film proposals waiting for commission.
